12.1 Introduction and Objectives
The objectives of the Dealing with Difficult Clients Module are:
- To recognize indicators that you may be dealing with a difficult client / potential client.
- To learn key strategies for how to deal with difficult clients.
In spite of good screening procedures—or because of a conscious decision to take on a challenging client—lawyers deal with difficult people. This module provides information to assist lawyers in identifying difficult clients and learning how to deal with them.
While we aim to present a comprehensive module, this module is not exhaustive.
This module is not a substitute for exercising professional judgment and does not constitute legal advice.
