Automate Processes Whenever Possible

It is trite to suggest automation as a timesaver, yet automation is sometimes overlooked because of the heavy efforts that are required at the outset. However, any process that can be automated will save you time and effort later.

A simple example of an automated process is having an autoreply set up for each inquiry that comes in through your website. This pre-determined message acknowledging receipt of the inquiry immediately relays the importance of the inquiry and your commitment to responding. If you can advise in your autoreply when and how someone will be in touch next and within what time frame, your potential client will be put at ease and this automated process will be a success.

It might be helpful to explore the automating capabilities within your practice management/accounting software or area-specific software as well. Often the practice management/accounting options have automation options for intake and billing processes. Many area-specific software options might contain automated processes to assist in the completion of documents. Whenever automating features are present, it would likely be worth your time to discover if they would be helpful to your practice.
